Vision on the Green!

Last month we celebrated our 20th Annual Vision on the Green Golf Tournament, and it was a smashing success!

We were so moved by the turnout, support, and incredible energy of the day. Over 70 partners, volunteers, and guests joined us on the links for some golf and great times.

Together we raised over $9000 for our Housing Access Program, which assists people with disabilities to find independent and affordable housing. Thanks again to our many sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible!

Writing Access for All

Our incredible team at The Assistive Technology Lab recently presented at the statewide assistive technology conference hosted by the Oregon Technology Access Program. Educators, therapists, and families from across the state attended virtually.

The AT Lab presented on Writing for All-- how to make writing accessible to all students regardless of ability. There are so many different ways to write: with a pencil, using a letterboard, with a communication device, and more! Everyone is an author. Please contact us for more information on adaptive writing!

A Way to Support Herself

Our team in Employment Connections first connected with Beth this winter. We were so excited to finally accompany her to a job interview at Fred Meyer this past month. We know she was going to do great, but were even more impressed when she was offered a job right on the spot!

She shared with us:

"I am so excited about getting this job! I'm glad that I can help out with paying the bills at home now and that I have a job so close I can walk to and from work. I shop here [at Fred Meyer] often, so I already know the people and they are so friendly. I can't wait to be out of the training phase and have a good work routine down!"

Congratulations, Beth!

Summer Picnic!!!

Come join us for our annual Summer Picnic. This year, we are opening up this event to the whole CV Family! Swing by for some food, arts & crafts, games, and, of course, our famous kickball game!

RSVP to Steve at steve@civision.org. Cannot wait to see you all there!

New Opportunities for Affordable Housing!

We are so thrilled to announce the completion of our first accessory dwelling unit (ADU), one of the new ways we hope to offer safe, independent and affordable housing to people with disabilities in our community.

Amy is thrilled to have a place of her own! For her adult life, she has been living with family and then in a house with multiple roommates. She told us that she never thought her dream of having her own place would come true...but it has now!
